 Short Term Accommodation, part of the NDIS program, offers respite services allowing participants to temporarily reside away from home. We provide personal care, lodging, meals, and community activities, all overseen by our dedicated and experienced team. 

At TONIQ Health Care team provide a safe, comfortable 'Home Away From Home'. Before you join us for your stay, we provide a complimentary meet-and greet, email chat or phone call (whichever you prefer) to find out more about the reasons you are seeking respite and for you to decide if we are a good fit for you. After this initial conversation of hearing what your needs and goals are, TONIQ Health Care will provide you with a custom-designed package (with multiple choices of options included). It's then up to you if you decide this is the right package for you - before you commit to anything.

It's completely up to you! We tailor your experience with us to your individual needs and goals! If you want achieve a particular NDIS goal that can't be achieved to the same effect in your home environment, we will work with you to support this. If you just need a 'respite' from your every day life to rest, recouperate and revive - then we will support you with that too. Whether you want to get out and about and enjoy new experiences or just chill at home in a warm, safe environment - we've got you covered. • Explore New Adventures & Experiences:  Every person deserves the chance to discover life's possibilities. Short Term Accommodation, though unfamiliar to many NDIS participants, offers them the chance to embrace new experiences, fostering their personal growth and supporting them to discover more about themselves.  

• Chance to Contemplate Independent Living:  By experiencing short-term stays away from home, NDIS participants may also contemplate the prospect of living independently with support from NDIS services. This empowers NDIS participants to gain important skills that allows them to pursue their life aspirations and achieve their NDIS goals. 

• Respite From Home Life:   Short Term Accommodation provides a much-needed break from the routines and responsibilities of home life. It allows individuals to recharge and rejuvenate in a supportive environment while their daily care needs are met. This respite opportunity fosters well-being and offers a chance to relax and unwind, ultimately enhancing overall quality of life. 

• Respite for friends and family:  Although your loved ones may provide unwavering care and support on a daily basis, living with a person with a disability can be equally challenging for them. Short Term Accommodation provides essential respite for primary caregivers, allowing them to recharge their battery while you gain independence and personal growth. 

• Opportunity to focus on YOU:  Short Term Accommodation presents a unique opportunity for individuals to prioritize their own well-being. Amidst the demands of daily life, it's easy to neglect self-care. However, with the support of our services, participants can take a step back and focus solely on themselves. Whether it's pursuing personal interests, engaging in therapeutic activities, or simply enjoying moments of solitude, this time is dedicated to nurturing the mind, body, and soul. It's a chance to reconnect with oneself, foster inner growth, and emerge refreshed and rejuvenated. 

We offer specialized, tailor-made respite options for each individual, however see below for some inspiration:

WELLNESS PACKAGE: Spend your time immersed in the perfect combination of activities that focus on your health and wellbeing. With 1:1 support, you can enjoy learning about improved nutrition (as well as having your own nutritional plan whilst on your stay), medication, yoga, meditation, breathework, journalling, nature walks and a bunch of other fun soul-nourishing activities to support healing your body, mind and spirit. You'll also be given a little gift pack designed especially for you to support to continue your goals after you leave our accommodation.

KIDS GOALS PACKAGE: While parents enjoy an often much needed respite, the team at TONIQ Health Care can tailor make a package to support your child with a specific goal while they are under our tender loving care. Sometimes a new environment is a great opportunity for a child to learn new skills and build confidence all while under the care of a trained professional. These goals might include social outings, educational goals, home/life skills or even emotional regulation. For the parents, our staff will provide you with a thorough report of your child's stay along with regular updates (including photographs) on how your child is enjoying their stay, as agreed by you prior to the stay. Each child will get a take-home pack to support them in their goals upon their return home.

COMPLEX NEEDS: The team at TONIQ Health care are equipped to support clients with complex mental health needs (including if there are Positive Behaviour Support plans in place or medication administration is required.

SIBLING PACKAGES: We are able to custom-build packages to suit siblings, whether they require 1:1 support or 1:2 support. Talk to the TONIQ team about the options that can be custom designed to suit your families needs.

The team from TONIQ Health Care provide a person-centered experience during your stay with us. After discussing your needs, goals and your specific reason for requesting Short Term Accomodation, we will provide you with some 'multiple choice' options. Essentially you get to 'create your own adventure' with us - it can be as chill or as fun as you desire!

We provide you with all your meals, drinks and snacks specific to your needs while you are with us. On arrival, you will receive your very own complimentary welcome pack containing toiletries and items you might enjoy during your stay. Upon departure, you will receive a take-home pack that further supports you with your NDIS goals that were targeted during your stay.

We provide pick up/drop off from your home to our location in most cases. This is included in your stay and is not an extra costing. Our beautiful 'Home Away From Home' is based in the southern suburbs of Adelaide, however we are happy to provide transport across metropolitan Adelaide (included in your package).

 Our team consists of experienced support workers who possess extensive knowledge in disability care. They are dedicated to delivering top-notch support with passion and commitment.  We are also able to match specific support workers to suit your needs. This will be arranged (and approved by you) before you make your final decision to use our STA services - so that you feel totally confident in the care and support you will be receiving whilst staying with us.
